Yes, so for one of those shining moments in life, my life is amazing right now. I got back from college baseball camp yesterday and i had an amazing time. A lot of guy moments, shving cream sprayed, kids locked in dorm rooms, stupid, funny shit. I also learned a lot, and actually payed attention which is rare for me, but i understand this stuff. I got a lot of advice on the mental aspect of the game, and also the physical. My pitching seems to have improved, and that is what my team leader (head baseball coach at WCSU) said I should play in college. Then on saturday was the showcase, when about 20 college scouts come and look at all the players. I was soooooo nervous, more nervous than before my first kiss, more nervous than first day of school, more nervous than speaking at open houses. But i did okay. I had to throw eight pitches. I threw four fastballs for strikes, 2 curves, the first one would have plunked the batter, but the second one was good. Then i threw two change ups, which rocked. The pitching coach behind the mound said i did a great job. AFter all that, i got an evaluation from my coach, who said that i had the mind and the ability to play in college, i just needed the strength and machismo. he said i am not intimidating enough on the field, which i understand, and the strength will just take time.
And I will admit that i read the harry potter book yesterday, in its entirety. I got hooked when i was 11, and i cant help reading the others. It was one of the best yet. The title is perfect, and plenty of plot twists. I wont say more because i dont want to spoil it for others.
Tomorrow is my papa's 79th birthday and we are going out to lunch which should. Then I am going to NEwport for a night and a day, see some baseball, wander around, fun shit. Maybe go to providence place, do the Imax and Dave and Busters. My summer has taken a turn for the better, and just holler if ya wanna do something, ask me for the cell is you dont have it.
